London, UK, 5th November  2024: Klarna, the AI powered global payments network and shopping assistant, and John Lewis & Partners have partnered to bring Klarna to JohnLewis.com and the John Lewis app.

John Lewis’ customers can now choose to check out with Klarna’s interest-free Pay in 3 product allowing shoppers to spread the cost of their purchases over 60 days. The first payment is made at the time of purchase, followed by two subsequent payments at 30-day intervals.

Andy Piggott, Director of Credit and Banking at John Lewis Money said, "We’re committed to  making it easier for customers to manage their budgets with a range of flexible and secure ways to pay.

“Klarna has become a go-to payment choice for everything from beauty and fashion through to homewear and electronics - we hope that the introduction of Klarna will make John Lewis even more accessible and help attract a new customer that may not have traditionally shopped with us.”

Raji Behal, Head of Western and Southern Europe at Klarna, said, “John Lewis, a beloved British institution, is renowned for its quality, wide selection, and exceptional service. We're excited to offer their customers a better way to pay, with our interest-free BNPL helping shoppers manage their finances and make smarter purchases. We couldn't be more thrilled to support John Lewis as they continue to grow and welcome a new generation of customers.

Klarna is now available at half of the UK’s top 100 retailers. This year, high street icons such as Argos, Habitat, Boots and WHSmith joined Klarna as more and more consumers turn to interest-free BNPL. Klarna, the UK’s biggest BNPL provider has seen its average customer profile change over time, with the average age of a Klarna customer now 38, with 65+ bringing its fastest growing demographic. Klarna has 10 million active consumers in the UK who on average spend £80 per transaction.
