We're thrilled to announce that the new and improved Klarna Card will be rolling out across the US over the next few months! Consumers can register to join the waitlist here. Already a hit in Sweden, Germany, and the UK, the Klarna Card offers a fairer and more sustainable option to traditional high-cost credit cards, enabling consumers to shop and pay how they want.
What's new with the Klarna Card?
- No monthly or annual fees! We've eliminated the $4.99 monthly fee from the old Klarna Card.
- Flexible payment options: while you can still Pay in 4 with zero interest on the Klarna app, the new physical and virtual card allows you to make monthly payments in full at zero interest, move a payment to the next month, or pay over time across 3 or 6 installments.
- Earn cashback: get rewarded for your purchases with up to 10% cashback when using the card in the Klarna app.
- Seamless app integration: the Klarna app and our AI assistant make finding deals and managing payments a breeze.
Plus these features we know our card customers love:
- Pay anywhere Visa is accepted, including in-store, online, and internationally
- Zero foreign transaction fees when shopping abroad
- Physical and virtual Visa card compatible with Google and Apple Pay
- Full spending overview in the Klarna app for financial budgeting
How is this different from a credit card?
- With the Klarna Card, you can pay your balance monthly in full with zero interest and do not have the option to revolve or the trick of minimum payments to keep you in a continuous debt cycle like traditional credit cards.
- You can also move a purchase to the next monthly statement or choose to pay over 3 or 6 months with added interest. An APR applies to a traditional credit card’s entire balance, but interest only applies on selected individual purchases with the Klarna Card.
- You cannot move a purchase or split a purchase into installments more than one time, so you will never be charged interest on interest.
More good things to keep in mind
- Eligibility: Available to US residents who are at least 18 years old and have a history of on-time payments with Klarna.
