It was 2014 when our journey in the UK started – yes 2014! Since day one our commitment has always been to give our UK consumers and retailers the best shopping experience ever.
Seven years later, we are extremely proud to say that we’ve experienced incredible growth and that we now serve over 14 million customers and over 13,000 retail partners across the country. And we’re not stopping here. We are committed to increasing our efforts and presence in the UK even more. That’s why we are relocating our London HQ and expanding our office space in Manchester.
In London we’ve taken the top floor space – almost 11,000 sq. ft. – in the WeWork Aviation House in Holborn, which will be our new UK headquarters. In Manchester, we have expanded our existing office at the Old Granada Studios – a fast-developing payments and retail tech hub.
After one year of working from home, we’re implementing a flexible working policy – after all we do love some flexibility at Klarna! Teams will work together in the office on two agreed days each week and will have the possibility to choose to work from home or the office on other days.
We’re now over 200 people working across the country and we’re excited that these new offices will allow us to grow even further as we plan to double our headcount in the UK over the next year.
