March 5, 2019 – In January, Klarna announced its unexpected partnership with the company’s latest investor, Snoop Dogg, and the story about the iconic rapper’s new persona Smoooth Dogg was widely reported by media across the globe. Today marks the next step of the collaboration as Klarna and Snoop Dogg release a new collection of products that will enable everyone to get smoooth.
Following the “Get Smoooth” campaign, Snoop Dogg and Klarna have been working together to create a collection of unique products, offering a chance for anyone to become as smoooth as Smoooth Dogg and Klarna. The product range includes golden peanut butter, a silky bed set, cashmere toilet paper, a smoooth robe and a 22 ft high inflatable slide. Using Klarna’s pay later options, paying for the collection is as smoooth as the products themselves.
“We had a great time creating these products and are now looking forward to dropping them with Klarna”, says Snoop Dogg. “Golden peanut butter and silky soft sheets? What every player needs.”
The campaign payoff “Get Smoooth” refers to the fact that whether you are a consumer, a merchant or a famously smooth person as Snoop Dogg, Klarna’s pay later products will make your everyday life a lot more hassle-free and smoooth. From smooth to smoooth.
“This is the first time that we’re dropping physical products and I’m proud to be releasing this collection together with Snoop Dogg. In the end, I truly believe that this will bring a smile to people’s faces and get more people to discover the perks and the smoothness of paying later with Klarna”, says David Sandström, Chief Marketing Officer of Klarna. “Our biggest problem right now is figuring out where to place the enormous inflatable slides.”
